Nancy Chambers

Nancy creates still life paintings with a pared-back style and contemporary elegance. Nancy considers three elements to be crucial in her work: colour, texture and composition. Only when all three elements work in unison does she consider a painting to be finished.

She uses a variety of found items such as cut-up milk cartons, needles and chopsticks to create her artworks as well as more traditional tools including brushes, rags and palette knives.

Her artistic endeavours began at an early age and she painted throughout a 30 year career in the charity sector before becoming a professional artist in 2019. Her work has received wide appreciation and now hangs in homes as far afield as New York, Jerusalem and Melbourne.

Nancy has had work selected for prestigious, juried exhibitions and in 2020 and 2021 had work hung alongside Turner Prize winners Antony Gormley and Grayson Perry at the RWA in Bristol.
