Ann Goodfellow

Ann Goodfellow is a Ceramic Sculptor/Painter working and living close to Aberglasney House and Gardens near Llandeilo.

Initially trained in Wildlife Illustration, she worked on a freelance basis locally.  Whilst studying on the course she was introduced to clay and figure drawing which were to become the driving force behind her work.  This affinity and passion for the process of ceramics led to further study at Swansea Institute where she gained a B.A.Ceramics in 1994.  A Post Graduate Certificate in Education then led to a career in teaching for ten years at Carmarthenshire College, and tutoring in Community Education.  During this time, she was able to pass on her knowledge and skill through giving guidance to many future ceramicists who passed through her classes. 

In 2004 Ann was offered a place at UWIC Cardiff to study for an M.A. in Ceramics which enabled her to develop a very strong artistic style and voice within her work. After completion of the course she decided to concentrate on her work on a full – time basis, exhibiting both in Britain and Europe.  In 2012 a solo show at the prestigious Galerie Du Don in France, and the year after in Toulouse helped establish her work in France.  She currently exhibits in many galleries in Britain and was a regular exhibitor at Art in Clay, before opening Ivy House Gallery in Llandeilo.
